  • 12 slices bacon
  • ½ lb. chicken livers, approx. 6
  • 12 whole water chestnuts, halved
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • pinch ground pepper

directions

Cut bacon in half, fry until partially cooked and soft. Quarter chicken livers into 24 bite-size morsels. Marinate liver in soy sauce, and sugar for 20 minutes. Wrap livers and water chestnuts in bacon, secure with toothpick. Place in rack in 450 degree oven for 10 minutes.
