ingredients

  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 16 ounces powdered sugar
  • ½ teaspoon peppermint extract
  • ½ teaspoon butter extract
  • 1-2 drops food coloring
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar

directions

1. Cream butter and cream cheese together with a mixer until soft and well blended. Add powdered sugar and beat until well blended. Add extracts and food coloring. Beat until uniform in color.
2. Roll into marble-size balls and then roll balls in sugar to coat. Press into candy molds. Turn molds onto paper lined cookie sheets to dry. Store in refrigerator until ready to serve.
3. NOTE: If using cookie press to press mints, add 1-3 tsps of milk to batter to thin out enough to press. Remember to butter the pattern disk to keep the batter from sticking to the press.
