ingredients

  • ½ cup onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • ½ lb. pork sausage
  • 8 ounces cabbage, shredded (cole slaw mix does nicely)
  • seasoned salt, to taste
  • 2 8 oz can refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, grated

directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Press one package of cresent roll dough into the bottom of a lightly greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes.
3. Meanwhile, brown onion, garlic, ground beef and sausage in a large skillet over medium high heat. Drain extra fat out of skillet, then stir in shredded cabbage. Heat thouroughly until cabbage is limp.
4. Spread beef mixture on top of cooked crescent roll dough. Spread cheese over top of meat mixture. Lay second package of crescent roll dough over the top of meat and cheese mixture. Press dough seams together (as best you can).
5. Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden brown.
